WP6 aims: 1) to develop a pedagogically meaningful and replicable toolkit for virtual training and 2) to apply it in training 25 teaching staff to function as e-tutors for the joint Master degree programme.

Description of the work
To run the joint European Master programme delivered virtually there must be appropriately trained tutors for virtual learning. An online toolkit for training e-tutors will be developed by P6 with major contributions from P1 & P7 & other partners (Task 6.1). It will have a modular structure focusing on: 1) the foundations of virtual learning and teaching; 2) familiarization with the VLE and 3) methods of infusing ESD in subject teaching with the support of ICTs. The target group of teaching staff for e-tutoring will be the 25 teaching staff that participated in various activities in previous WPs. Training will be carried out online supplemented by a number (3-4) face-to-face sessions (3h. duration) by experienced e-tutors (Task 6.2). Every partner institution will take part in the training process and after finishing training 3-4 teaching staff from each partner will be able to delivering and assessing courses in virtual modality using an overall problem-based approach and different ICT tools. Know-how will be transferred from P6 (Open University of Cyprus) and from the LLP 3-LENSUS (Lifelong Learning Network for Sustainable Development) and eLearning (Virtual Campus for Sustainable Europe) being implemented by P5.

Impact: The e-tutors/mentors Toolkit will be a reference tool for training teaching staff and support the infusion of ESD in teaching methods and study programmes.
